Tom has served in the following roles: Executive leading a $1 billion business unit that met profitability goals; corporate officer and advisor for startups; chief information officer for a $10 billion enterprise; co-CIO for the United States federal government’s Executive Branch; program leader catalyzing innovation throughout a $6 billion corporation; Commissioner, U.S. General Services Administration; Professorial Lecturer; university Extension Instructor; business advisor; and innovation consultant.

He has a B.S. in mathematics from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Berkeley.  He completed business programs at Stanford and Michigan.
